Single-phase 100VA toroidal transformer, 230Vac input voltage and 12Vac output winding. It includes a resettable thermal protector as an additional protection measure to prevent the transformer from burning out in case of working conditions different from the design ones (voltage peaks, etc).
This thermal protector means that when a working temperature is reached in the primary above the temperature for which it is designed, its mechanism opens automatically to prevent the transformer from deterioration. When the transformer recovers the normal operating temperature, it is put back into service.
This type of transformer is very suitable when reduced size and weight are required, with an improvement of up to 50% over other types of construction, very low losses in the copper under load, which translates into less overheating and high performance. Electrical connection
The transformer is supplied without any type of overload protection, it is mandatory to install them to avoid overloading the transformer. The power and current indicated are apparent, the active current provided by the transformer will depend on the power factor of the connected load.
In the case of using a protection fuse in the primary, it is recommended to use the delayed type, to absorb the high inrush current characteristic of this type of transformers.
