The “A” employment class replaces the “AC” class and can be used in any installation, being especially recommended in the case of the presence of distorted intensities due to the presence of continuous components on the voltage, apart from the usual applications such as its use in machinery, industrial electrical panels and domestic applications where electronic devices exist.

This type of differential switch operates electromagnetically, which means that the safety function is not lost in the event of variations in the supply voltage or loss of the neutral conductor; the differential switch is only triggered by the shunt in the active phase.
